For those that think the Audi A8L W12 isnt luxurious enough, the German automaker debuted a limited edition model here in Frankfurt dubbed the "Exclusive Concept." The car features a unique interior with Cognac-colored Poltrona Frau leather and inlays made from olive ash.

Audi is calling this a concept but also says it will be produced as a limited-series edition.Wood inlays of olive ash in a light gray-brown veneer complement the additional leather finish of the dashboard, center console, door trims, seat consoles and the tunnel.

Announced today at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the Audi A8L W12 will see just 50 units built, featuring Poltrona Frau leather and olive ash wood inlays. Plates marked with "Audi exclusive concept" will adorn the door sills, with deep-pile carpeting inside and leather on the dash, center console, transmission tunnel, doors, and seat consoles.

At the Frankfurt Motor Show Audi is showcasing a small-series version of the Audi A8L W12 that is aimed at an exclusive group of connoisseurs. The sedan, being marketed under the "Audi exclusive concept" label, presents an exclusively finished interior – with leather of the prestigious Poltrona Frau brand and olive ash natural inlays.

The standard version of the A8, Audis flagship model, is already a thrilling example of uncompromisingly high build quality – the bespoke character of its interior appeals to all the senses. The brand takes the experience to a new level in the Audi A8L W12 exclusive concept.

The seats are upholstered in Cognac-colored leather by the exclusive Italian manufacturer Poltrona Frau – a grade with an exceptionally soft, even, natural finish. There are highlights of granite gray piping on the center sections of the seat and seat backs. Leather elements on numerous parts of the interior – such as the dashboard, the center console, the tunnel, the door trims and seat consoles – round out the equipment; even the car key is trimmed in leather.

The inlays made from the wood olive ash natural provide an elegant contrast to the leather by Poltrona Frau. The light gray-brown veneer has an exquisitely fine grain, a natural, slightly rough surface and a hint of silver in the pores that gives the woods appearance a refined look. It is used extensively throughout the interior – for instance as inserts in the seat backs, on the cockpit fascia, in the door trims and on the large storage and control-panel units in the rear.

Sill trims with "Audi exclusive concept" lettering, deep-pile carpeting and exclusive-quality floor mats complete the interior. The body of the showcar that Audi is using to communicate the theme at Frankfurt is painted in Monsoon Gray.

The A8 L W12 Audi exclusive concept will be built in a strictly limited run of 50; each vehicle bears a plate marked with the serial number. Following in the footsteps of the Q7, this is now the second car line with a version under the "exclusive" label. Other models will follow.

Among the prominent members of the jury, James Kelly, who heads the Department of Transportation Design at Pforzheim University, praised the design Audi A7. "The design of the Audi A7 Sportback is the best in the group so far," Kelly said as quoted by the website autoevolution.com. "The lower tail is very impressive! I will immediately buy it."

Compliments also rates leveled Othmar Wickenheiser, a professor of Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. "A design concept That really harmonious. The hip, shoulder muscular, efficient side. Perfect," he said.

Other panel members include leading the design architect and Critic Hans-Ulrich von Mende and Professor Paolo Tumminelli from the International School of Design in Cologne. They both gave high marks to the Audi A7 in the category proportions, styling, innovation, and quality haptics.

"We are very pleased with this achievement - which was Chosen by the Judges who are experts in the field of design," said Stefan Sielaff, Head of Audi Design. "This award confirms the exceptional position of the Audi A7 Sportback. a good response from customers confirms the Attraction of this car."

Audi A3 concept

The Audi A3 concept also features a few lightweight solutions that Audi is currently readying for production. The new Audi RS3 has carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) front wings, and on the A3 concept the frame for the big front grille, the front spoiler, rear diffuser and door mirrors are all CFRP. The Audi A3 concept also has aluminium body panels (for the doors, bonnet and boot lid), so it tips the scales at 1540kg.

Powering the Audi A3 concept is a turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine, in the same 402bhp/369lb ft guise as featured in last year’s Quattro concept

The A3 concept is packing a 2.5-litre turbocharged five-pot TSI engine spitting out 400bhp and 368lb ft of torque - 60bhp more than the RS3 and just 14bhp down on the old RS4. Audi reckons the Audi A3 concept in Geneva will sprint from 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds - half a second over the RS3 - and head butt the limiter at 155mph.

The concepts front and rear tracks are wider than even the RS3s swollen chassis, and production versions will have the front wheels closer to the front bumper than at present.

Audi has officially lifted the covers off of an attractive technological concept car based on the coming generation of the Audi A3 at the 81st International Geneva Motor Show. The A3 Concept’s design is every bit as good as advertised, thanks to a design that emphasizes an aggressive front fascia with the brand’s iconic grille. Measuring 4.44 meters long, 1.84 meters wide, and 1.39 meters high, the Audi A3 Concept is a sleek and dynamic embodiment of what the future holds for the German automaker. Sporty yet elegant at the same time, the A3 features plenty of eye-catching digs that underscores the whole marvelous aesthetic look. The car’s single-frame grille is made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic with transversely mounted, three-dimensional aluminum louvers, giving the concept a lot more width and substance.

The four-seater notchback Audi A3 concept is powered by a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that combines both FSI gasoline direction injection with new turbo charging technology to produce 408 horsepower and 369 lb/ft of torque mated to a seven-speed S Tronic transmission. Concepts don’t come with price tags so it wasn’t surprising to find out that the Audi A3 concept didn’t have one.

If and when this Audi A3 concept hits the production block, a lot of other models will be lined-up to compete against it, including the BMW 3-Series and the Mercedes C-Class.
